The Groz Rapid Action Woodworking Vise has a rapid action mechanism that stands out as a quick-release vise.

These vises are manufactured from close-grained grey cast iron with accurately machined housings to ensure smooth sliding movement and a true parallel action free of side or cross movement. The vise jaws are equipped with a “Toe-in” feature that ensures even clamping on the whole depth of the workpiece when fully closed. The precision-machined housings enable smooth sliding movement, while the Steel main screw has Buttress threads for smooth, accurate and responsive adjustment.

To use, simply turn the handle to tighten the vise, and when you need to release the workpiece, turn the handle in the opposite direction, and the screw is disengaged, allowing the front jaw to slide freely.
