The Groz Fore Plane with a Smooth Base is used for flattening and smoothing wider panels such as table tops and work bench tops. Featuring a robust grey cast iron base, meticulously machined to high precision with a flatness tolerance of up to 0.003″ (0.075 mm), these planes offer unparalleled accuracy.

Hardened to 55+5 HRC, the spring steel cutter blade guarantees a razor-sharp, easily honed edge, and the flawlessly machined blade seating eliminates any unwanted chatter during operation.  The fully adjustable frog empowers users to customize settings for specific tasks, complemented by an attractive hardwood handle, knob, and brass detailing.
