It makes a big difference especially when working deep into wood with a cross grain, or just with tough wood in general. Unlike many other simple regular wedges which will stall & get stuck at times, this wedge very rarely runs into that type of problem with it’s special design. It has a 1-3/4″ cutting edge & is made of high quality steel. A very durable & tough wedge!
