This USB Direct Cable Keyboard single gage interface connects Mitutoyo digital gages with a 10-pin plain connector to a computer. This USB Direct Cable gage interface connects directly to the gage, no additional cables required. Commonly used with Mitutoyo gages such as, indicators, MU-Checkers and gages, displays, linear height, Litematic, Heightmatic, Digi Derm and hardness testers.

The output of the USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the USB Direct Cable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the USB Direct Cable to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or Explorer based SPC program – no messy software wedge required. The USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface will make the Mitutoyo gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard – eliminates SPC data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

• Pressing the push button on the USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface
• Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
• Pressing the data switch on the gage connection

Simple to use!

This USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as TAB, CR, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. A detailed operation manual is included with each USB Direct Cable Keyboard gage interface.
